The Nehemiah Prayer Route near Port Elizabeth

The last day of the walk attracted about 200 church leaders and Chris was able to share with them about The Rooftop and how they could join in with the Global Encounter on 10th October 2020.

Chris has big plans to introduce The Rooftop to most major cities in South Africa over the next few months, please join us in praying for him.

The Rooftop in Madagascar – 2

Our Rooftop Pioneer from South Africa was in Madagascar – He writes:-

My day started too early for my liking but am glad to connect with people of God from different mission organizations and churches gathering to share and exhibit some of the work they do and find ways to cooperate. I am especially impressed by the Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) which owns airplanes to assist these organizations and churches to reach far and wide taking the gospel of Jesus Christ. The particular interest is taking it to the unreached people. I am looking forward to proceedings of this day.

What a wonderful experience with 51 entities exhibiting What each does for and in the name of the Lord to reach their country for Christ what is more wonderful is that the Rooftop is among them seeking to equip and encourage the church to Join Jesus in His mission.

Praise God for Bro, Najo, the Pioneer in Madagascar who works tirelessly to make The Rooftop make its mark also.

The Rooftop in Madagascar – 1

Our South Africa Pioneer, Chris Dikana writes:-

Brothers and sisters I am in Antananarivo, Madagascar this week. Praise God for a fruitful day on Monday at a Bible College with students and lecturers doing the Rooftop presentation. Today I was with a group of ministers and church leaders from different denominations dealing with the idea of the Missional church and tomorrow the subject will be Church growth. Most of these leaders were in the Rooftop training last year when I was here. Pray for me as I will be dealing with church growth and also at a mission exhibition on Friday where we will promote the Rooftop from an exhibition stand among other Ministries.

A few updates from Chris Dikana in South Africa:

I finished the Rooftop training in Johannesburg and church leaders are signing up to join the Rooftop so that they can start implementing. I am leaving for Madagascar tonight to do a 2days seminar also on 20th and 21st. Keep praying for protection and open doors.

Saints I am in Johannesburg as planned doing Rooftop training to church leaders (pastors, bishops and lay leaders, most of them are from Nigeria). The is well received and appreciated. I have completed steps one and two and will do step 3 this afternoon. Doors are opening also in Angola, Nigeria and Mozambique.

Good people of God greetings. God has been good these days. I trained 38 pastors including the President, General Secretary and leaders of the ministers fraternal in National Baptist Convention in Namibia. The training took place on 27-31 August. It was difficult because there had to be 2 interpreters into the 2 dominant national languages. We now pray for financial resources to translate the materials into the 2 languages and also go back to train ambassadors for each of regions so that they can start implementing.

Leaders Being Equipped in South Africa

From Chris Dikana, The Rooftop Pioneer in South Africa.

It was great to run a series of session equipping leaders!

We had 20 leaders in attendance and people who are passionate about evangelism

The training was very interesting in that I ran through the whole thing in four days meeting from 5pm every day. The discussions were very vibrant especially about our relationship with those outside the walls of the church and how we need to disciple people towards salvation and after salvation. Another point of discussion was on the need to place new converts in accountability groups and be direct in keeping interest on how they are coping with dealing with sin.

These deep truths that are being learned by the leaders in South Africa are so appropriate in every country of the world. Jesus commands us to ‘make disciples who will make disciples!’
