A gathering of pastors, leaders, and Christians from across the city for the purpose of seeking God for a fresh vision of His heart for their city and praying for spiritual awakening. In recent years, we have led Rooftop City Encounters in Washington D.C., Dallas, Chicago, with plans to lead Rooftop City Encounters this Fall in Cincinnati, Tucson, Yuma, and Phoenix. We have developed a Rooftop City Encounter Guide to assist in planning this special prayer event.

A Rooftop Prayer Journey is a strategic prayerwalk/prayerdrive through a city or community. Each Rooftop Prayer Journey is custom designed for that city to address the specific challenges/opportunities in that city. This is an effective strategy for praying into pockets of lostness and receiving a fresh vision of God’s heart for the city.

On Saturday evening, John Whaley meets with pastor and church leaders to introduce The Rooftop strategy. On Sunday morning, John preaches in the morning service followed by a luncheon and a Rooftop Prayer Encounter. On Sunday evening, John teaches on Engaging Through Story.

On Saturday, John leads Prayer: The Heart of It All School of Prayer. On Sunday morning, John preaches in the morning service on The Priority of Prayer and leads a Rooftop Prayer Experience on Sunday evening.

Note: The Rooftop Weekend and The Rooftop Prayer Weekend can be a church event or a community event involving several churches with John preaching in one of the sponsoring churches on Sunday morning.

An interactive conference focusing on how to share the Gospel in a post-Christian culture with those we are among daily where we live, work, and play. In this conference, we focus on understanding the culture in which we live and the power of story as we interact with people daily. The primary focus of this conference is how to share the Gospel as a story that threads its way through the entire story of the Bible.

In partnership with Alive Ministries: Project Pray, this is a one-day event focusing on how to grow deeper in one’s prayer life by discovering why God wants us to pray. In this conference, we discover how to develop a personal prayer life, pray together as a family, pray missionally for others and pray for a Great Awakening.

A special weekend conference or 4 day Revival Meeting calling the Church back to prayer, God’s heart for the lost, and the power of the Gospel.

We do not ask for a set fee for any of our Rooftop Weekends and Conferences. All we ask is that meals, lodging and travel expenses be covered and a love offering be received for the ministry.

The only exception is Prayer: The Heart of It All School of Prayer. The School of Prayer is scheduled through Project Pray and there is a registration fee for those participating in the School.
