Resources for equipping disciples to make disciples.
The Rooftop has produced resources that can be used to equip the church to join Jesus in His Mission and make disciples who make disciples beyond the walls of the church.
“Many Christians have a deep desire to Join Jesus in His Mission but they have never been equipped. The Rooftop has produced resources that can be used to inspire and equip Christians to become disciple who make disciples beyond the walls of the church”.

Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”
When Jesus engaged in mission He was always among the people in public places. He went to people where and as they were.
As Jesus equipped His disciples to Join Him in His Mission, they were always with Him, in the public places.
He then sent His disciples to make disciples all over the world.
Based on the approach that Jesus used, The Rooftop Resources have been created to equip disciples to ‘learn-by-doing’ as they engage in disciple-making outside of the walls of the church.
The Rooftop Resources are very effective in a small-team context but very flexible and can be used one-on-one or with larger groups.

Equipping followers of Jesus to Join Him in His Mission.
The Rooftop is continually creating resources that will equip and enable followers of Jesus to be effective in making disciples.
The Rooftop Materials:
- are written to be used in a small-group context but are very flexible and can be used with larger groups, one-on-one or for personal learning.
- follow the steps of The Rooftop process but can be used selectively as an aid to your progress.
The most helpful way to begin is with the ‘Joining Jesus Disciples’ journal and accompanying Facilitators Guide.
These materials are critical to the process of being equipped as they focus on motivation and help us to gain a new perspective and desire to Join Jesus in His Mission.
Once you have completed these materials you will find further equipping resources that fall under the three headings that reflect the steps of The Rooftop, these are: Prayerperation, Moment and Movement.
The Joining Jesus journal and guide consist of 12 small group gatherings in addition to the Rooftop Encounter. However, it is important to be flexible as much of the learning takes place as things are put into practice ‘outside of’ the group gathering time.
Working through the Joining Jesus materials will help followers of Jesus to understand what the mission of Jesus is, why they should join Him in His mission and provide practical equipping that will enable them to make disciples beyond the walls of the church.
Begin with prayerful preparation (Prayerperation) to ask God to prepare you to Join in His Mission
During your preparation, you will ask God to show you his heart for your community.
The Rooftop Moment is an Encounter with God as you seek his heart for your community.
“A Moment that leads to a Movement”
During this encounter with God, you will seek a fresh vision of His heart for the lost.
Create a Movement in the Kingdom by making disciples who make disciples.
As new people become followers of Christ you will equip these to reach others.
In addition to the Joining Jesus equipping resources, we have produced some additional equipping materials that can be used to further equip/provide practical opportunities to enable followers of Jesus to Join Him in His Mission.
These are:
Care and Share.
Engaging Through Story.
Tip-for-use: Care & Share is an ideal course to equip Christians to Join Jesus in His Mission among the people that they meet in their daily lives.
- Flexible use including teaching and practical application
- Leader’s Manual
- Personal Journal
As He engaged in His mission, Jesus both cared for people’s needs and shared the good news of the Kingdom with them. As His followers, it is important that Christians are equipped to care and share if they are to reach people who are beyond the walls of the church.
Care & Share is filled with helpful bible teaching notes that tell followers of Jesus how He reached people, simple role-plays that show how they can do this, and, most importantly, practical action—we let people have a go and then reflect on what they have experienced!

Consisting of video and written teaching materials, Engaging Through Story equips Christians to communicate the message of Jesus by sharing the story of what God IS DOING in their lives, listening to the story of the person that they are talking with and then sharing the story of Jesus.
A key feature of Engaging Through Story is a variety of faith stories that can be downloaded to phones/tablets and used to begin a conversation. These are available at www.morethanstories.org
