What will happen during The Global Encounter?

The Global Encounter will be launched on Sunday 2 October 2022 at 5am British Summer Time from the city of Chelmsford, England. Chelmsford is a few miles to the east of London and the Prime Meridian Line.  It. Is also the ‘birthplace of radio’, the city from which broadcasting began.

The global launch from Chelmsford will set in motion a multitude of local Encounters, large or small, in one location or spread across many, that will take place in cities, towns and villages in numerous countries across the world.  These will begin in Australasia, and, then, following the International Time Zones from east to west, will happen across Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.

Each local Encounter will begin at 5pm in the time Zone where the country is situated and last for approximately 2 hours.

There will be a number of hub cities in each continent that are connected to the launch venue in Chelmsford. As the sweep of local Encounters spreads through countries and continents the church across the world will be connected through online video conferencing, social media and a variety of broadcasting platforms.
