On October 2 2022, The Rooftop hosted what we hope was the largest gathering of Christians there has ever been. Many Christians throughout the world came together, in 100+ countries. Gathered not in one place, but with one purpose:
To unite behind the mission of Jesus.

To achieve this mission we invited individuals and churches to help create a unique ‘Moment’ that we pray will be part of a global ‘Movement’ as the church steps outside of the walls and makes disciples who make disciples in cities, towns and villages across the world. Details of what happened are to follow soon.

At this unique ‘Moment’ the church across the world will gather:

To seek a fresh vision of God’s heart for the lost

What will happen during The Global Encounter?

The Global Encounter will be launched on Sunday 2 October 2022 at 5am British Summer Time from the city of Chelmsford, England. Chelmsford is a few miles to the east of London and the Prime Meridian Line. It is also the ‘birthplace of radio’, the city from which broadcasting began.

We are excited to announce that, in addition to the numerous live encounters that will be taking place across the world on October 2nd, we will also be hosting a live broadcast that will:

Share the amazing stories of what has been happening in the time leading up to the Global Encounter.

Connect with locations across the world and hear live reports of what is happening as Christians are gathering to seek a fresh vision of God’s heart for the lost’

Include teaching from leaders across the world who are joining Jesus in His Mission.

The encounter will be launched from a building that is adjacent to the original factory of Guglielmo Marconi, the man credited as the inventor of radio.

The global launch from Chelmsford will set in motion a multitude of local Encounters, large or small, in one location or spread across many, that will take place in cities, towns and villages in numerous countries across the world. These will begin in Australasia, and, then, following the International Time Zones from east to west, will happen across Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.

Each local Encounter will begin at 5pm in the time Zone where the country is situated and last for approximately 2 hours.
